Making a Difference…

Culture Shock® Oakland (“CSO”) is dedicated to giving back to the community and enhancing peoples lives in many ways, whether it being a school assembly or being the official warm up team for the annual San Francisco AIDS Walk, Culture Shock Oakland is known for it’s ability to entertain and move audiences of all ages.

In 2002, CSO joined forces with local health clubs and community centers to promote healthy alternatives through physical fitness and dance for schools and after school programs. While maintaining a busy rehearsal and performance schedule, CSO has done various community event performances for groups such as:

  • The Boys and Girls Clubs
  • The American Heart Walk
  • The American Breast Cancer Association
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Annual Oakland Black Expo
  • P.H.A.T Campaign (Promoting Healthy Activities Together)
